Celebrating the Winners of the 2024 Trans in the City Awards
Last week, at our annual gala and awards, powered by UAL, we proudly announced the winners of the 2024 Trans in the City Awards! This unforgettable evening honoured individuals, allies, and organisations leading the way in trans advocacy and inclusion.
Each winner has made outstanding contributions, from pioneering workplace inclusion to inspiring community outreach and allyship.
Let’s take a look at the winners:
Trans Inclusive Organisation:
An award to be presented to an organisation that has been making real change to become a trans and non-binary inclusive workplace.
And the winner is… Metro Bank!
Trans Corporate Champion:
A trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming person making waves in the corporate world.
And the winner is… Abbie Hooper (he/they)
Trans Community Champion – England:
An individual or organisation based in England and working with the English trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming communities as a champion and role model.
And the winner is… Safe Haven Cornwall!
Trans Community Champion – Wales:
An individual or organisation based in Wales and working with the Welsh trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming communities as a champion and role model.
And the winner is… Kate Hutchinson!
Trans Community Champion – Scotland:
An individual or organisation based in Scotland and working with the Scottish trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming communities as a champion and role model.
And the winner is… Oliver Ellis!
Trans Community Champion: Northern Ireland:
An individual or organisation based in Northern Ireland and working with the Northern Irish trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming communities as a champion and role model.
And the winner is… Trans Pride NI!
Trans Community Champion – International:
An individual or organisation based outside of the UK and working with the international trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming communities as a champion and role model.
And the winner is… Rebecca Tallon De Havilland!
Trans Community Champion – Student
A trans or non-binary student in higher education (18+) who champions the trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming communities and is active in promoting awareness making change happen.
And the winner is… Chloe He!
Trans Ally:
An ally helping the trans and non-binary community succeed.
And the winner is… Jackie Swarbrick

And last but not least, the prestigious CEO Award highlights an individual or team of people that have fundamentally made a positive difference to the trans and non-binary community.
This year, the CEO Award was presented to Susie Green.
