Sarah Maslen (she/her)

Executive Director of Trans in the City/ Founder of Undivided Training and Consultancy

Sarah Maslen became a Director of Trans in the City in 2021 and in 2024 became an Executive Director leading on our Student Ambassador and Mentoring Stream; many of you will recognise her from our event planning team too.

As well as her role within Trans in the City, Sarah runs Undivided Training and Consultancy which focuses on LGBTQ+ inclusion and awareness raising, she is the Fast Track Cymru Manager working to get to zero HIV transmissions in Wales by 2030, she sits on the Welsh Government’s LGBTQ+ Advisory Group and other similar working groups, supports an LGBTQ+ Youth Group in Swansea and is even a show jumping coach for a young person with additional needs.

In 2022 Sarah was recognised for her work when she placed 16th on the Welsh Pinc List of most influential LGBTQ+ people in Wales and subsequently in 2023 she placed 6th on the same list. Sarah is a passionate ally and uses her numerous roles to advocate for the trans+, non-binary and gender diverse community. She is particularly dedicated to amplifying the voices of trans+ and non-binary young people and advocating for them when needed. Leading the Trans in the City Student Ambassador scheme allows her to combine her expertise, experience and knowledge to create further opportunities for trans+ and non-binary young people by connected them with businesses and organisations to expand their horizons and provide opportunities for career development to enable them to reach their goals.
